(2/28) ************************************************************************************************** The time has come for the Revised Broadway show of You?re a Good Man Charlie Brown. This fun loving cast from the Peanuts comic strip will be taking the stage at Sprague?s Pantheon on Thursday, February 28th opening night! Bryce Tomlin, Cassie Gonzales, Harris Long, Andrew Hatzenbihler, Bridget Caldwell and Cole Haole-Valenzuela will dazzle crowds with show stopping brilliance. YOU DON?T WANT TO MISS THIS! Dates for this star studded event are: February 28th, March 1, 6, 7, and 8th at 7:30pm with a Special Showing Leap Day February 29th at 4:00pm. Tickets are on sale now. (2/28) More new scholarships have been posted on the scholarship board. Check soon as some have early deadline dates. (2/28) Students: If you are signed up to donate blood next Thursday remember you should be eating foods high in iron to help your body replace the blood cell lost. These include lentils, almonds, hazelnuts, sesame seeds, spinach, of course, whole grains, and fresh peaches or apricots. If you have not signed up to donate and are interested in doing so, see Mrs. Lorenz in room 146. Sixteen year olds need to pick up a donor packet for parental permission. (2/29) National Honor Society members: Our next meeting will be this Friday Feb. 29 in room 146 at 7:05 or second lunch. We need to finalize the volunteer schedule for the blood drive next Thursday. I also have some new volunteer opportunities. (2/29) Staff and Students: Environmental Club starts lunchtime recycling today, February 28th. Mixed recycling goes into the large blue containers. Milk and juice cartons are emptied and placed in a separate container. Please do your part to reduce our garbage! Thanks. (2/28) Starting today you can pick up your dodgeball t-shirt from the activities office or commons stage for the big dodgeball event is Friday. Extra t-shirts will be sold for $10.00, pick them up before they are gone! (2/28) Seniors?are you interested in pre-med or pre-nursing as a major? There is a scholarship available in the Career Center for interested students. The pre-med is for $4,000 and the pre-nursing is for $1,500. The deadline date is March 7. So, pick up and application soon. (3/4) Girls State What is Girls State? Girls State offers training in the practical processes of self government and good citizenship as practiced in a democratic society. Activities include legislative sessions, campaigning, party rallies, debating and voting. Girls will also receive special instruction in parliamentary procedure. Arrangements will be made for any girl interested in taking part in this great opportunity, to take her final tests early. Please let Carlotta Arnold, in the Career Center, know if you are interested in participating in Girls State. (2/27) Congratulations to Kylie Kuhns, Katie Bock and Ashlyn Roos for their recognition as being voted as one of the top girls basketball players in the Central Valley Conference. Kylie earned 1st team recognition, while Katie and Ashlyn were both nominated for honorable mention. Way to go Ladies' and congratulations to all the girls' basketball players on a great season!
